The Government is seeking views on options for reforming the existing telecommunications regime to make it work more effectively, particularly during the transition to the National Broadband Network. The National Broadband Network: Regulatory Reform for 21st Century Broadband discussion paper outlines various options to reform the telecommunications regulatory framework. In parallel, the Government will shortly commence consultation on the roll-out of fibre in greenfield estates and the facilitation of fibre roll-out. DBCDE, 7 April 2009.
